Terms and Conditions of Use for Browsers
Introduction
Thank you for your interest in the Real WebSite (the "Site"). Real is a partnership between the key learning providers in Glasgow . The Site is operated by Real to encourage learning and to make the experience of learning an enjoyable one. While some parts of the Site are accessible only by registered Real Learners, there are numerous pages which can be viewed by general browsers. Please feel free to browse these pages however you should be aware that your access and use of the Site is subject to the following terms and conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions do not use the Site. Real may, in its sole discretion, modify or revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating this web page and you should therefore visit this page periodically to review the terms, but in any case, you hereby agree to be bound by the modifications or revisions.
Use of Real Content
All material on the Site (the "Content") is protected by copyright which is owned either by Real or by a member of the Real Partnership. Again Real emphasises that this Site is dedicated to encouraging learning and so Real authorises you to retrieve and display Content from the Site on a computer screen, to download and print individual pages from the Site on paper (but not to photocopy them) and to store such pages in electronic form on disc (but not on any server or any other storage device connected to a network) for your personal, non-commercial use.
Except as expressly set out above, you may not reproduce, modify or in any way commercially exploit any of the Content. In particular, but without limiting the general application of the restrictions contained in the preceding sentence, you may not do any of the following without prior written consent from Real:-
- Redistribute any of the Content (including by using it as part of any library, archive or similar service);
- Remove the copyright or trademark notice from any copies of Content made under these terms and conditions;
- Create a database in electronic or structured manual form by systemically downloading and storing all or any of the Content.
Licence Grant
By sending a communication via E-Mail, you thereby automatically grant to Real a royalty free, irrevocable, perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use, modify, edit, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute and display the communication alone or as part of other works in any form whatsoever.
No Warranty and Limitation of Liability
Real provides links and pointers to other World Wide Web sites maintained by independent third parties ("Third Party Sites"). You should be aware that Real has not reviewed all of the Third Party Sites linked to the Site. Real is not responsible for the Availability or content of such Third Party Sites and real will not be a party to, or in any way be responsible for, any transaction concerning goods or services available from such third party sites.
Due to the number of sources from which we obtain content and the nature of electronic distribution via the Internet, we do not give any warranties in respect of the Site, Content, software or services available through the Site (collectively, "Site Services"). In particular the Site Services are provided on a, "as is", "with all faults" and "as available" basis. Registering to Become a Real Learner
If, after browsing the Site, you are interested in registering to become a Real Learner you should e-mail any enquiries you may have to the Real Administrator. The information that you provide about yourself to us will only be used by us in accordance with our privacy policy, see the Real Privacy Statement. Our Privacy Statement does not apply to Third Party Sites.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law and all parties irrevocably submit all disputes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
